A Reefers Harvest is just a husband, a wife and some reef tanks. We are a small family operated online coral shop out of Mooresville, NC. With over 10 years experience in the hobby, we have the knowledge and experience to ensure only the highest quality coral is sent from our tanks to yours. An important first step in being successful is ensuring the coral you are investing in are healthy and thriving before they even make it to your aquarium. Our goal is to provide you with a passionate, helpful and friendly place to fit that need.
All of the coral we sell are patiently grown by us. We start with small frags in our grow out tanks. Over the next several months we grow that small piece of coral into a thriving colony. Once large enough, we use the coral saw to carefully fragment the colony into small, easily transportable pieces of coral that are then glued to frag plugs. Following the fragging procedure, all new coral pieces are left for 2-4 weeks to fully heal around the edges before they are listed for sale.
The process of getting these corals ready for sale takes 4-12 months depending on the species. We are not a high volume place whose first goal as soon as they get in a piece of coral is to sell it. We believe in quality over quantity, which takes time. Each frag you buy from us is at least 5 months in the making, most of the time more. Our prices are slightly elevated compared to industry average, but this is because of all the extra time and resources that are required to be able to offer this guarantee.
We guarantee that when you buy coral from our shop, you will be getting a healthy, thriving piece that will set you up to be successful.
